Bought in 2019. Pump has always made terrible noises… not quiet at all. It finally died this week. Will not buy again. Install wasn’t an issue. It should have given me at least 9 years as the other did.

Used part is what I received, while listing was for a new one. Buyer beware. Part was dirty with some corrosion, and vacuum tube was cut, like someone got it out of a junkyard. No hardware was included, so hold onto your old bolts. Part worked, and I didn't have time to go through the return process, so installed it anyway. Just realize the price is low because it's a used part.

The part looked good, installation simple enough. I use this truck only in the fall and winter as a back up vehicle (keeps miles down on my F350 when not towing) purchased this in February of last year, installation in April failed by October. I did reach out to see about a replacement and as of December still no response.

I was a bit concerned about some folks saying it was loud, but I had to touch it to make sure it was running! That's how quiet it was (or maybe my truck is loud!). My 10 year old compressor gave out, and this was an easy swap. Arrived the next day, and took not more than an hour to install.

I bought this particular compressor to replace the increasingly noisy and deteriorating compressor in my 08 Navigator, as I have had success with other Dorman replacement parts on the vehicle in the past. One week down and it seems to be working great. I'm not really a DIY person but I was able to do it myself. I recommend having a good ratchet tool set with various extension pieces; I found a good set on Amazon for $19. This compressor does not come with instructions so I recommend watching youtube videos on the installation, especially concerning detaching the bottom rear air/dryer hose which is best done with a small pair of diagonal pliers or wire cutters to grip and pull the coupling at the end of the hose off of the old unit. That is the toughest part of the installation, with the rear/lower bolt coming in second. You'll want to loosen your right wheel well cover screws for that, and turn the front wheels to the right for better access to the bolt. Other things worth noting is that this compressor comes with a new base plate preinstalled, which is good because apparently it is very hard to separate the factory compressor from its plate. Also this compressor does not need the breather hose that attaches to the factory compressor; you just pull it off and leave it hanging.

I wasn’t sure if it was the airbag, line or pump at first. You CANNOT simply add power to the red and black wires to test the motor, but the airline once released did depressurize the rest of the system bottoming out the axle so I knew it wasn’t the line or airbag. Old pump was jackhammer loud for 2 years and new one is quieter then the AC pump engaging. 25 minute job, 3x 13 mm bolt heads, one you need a ratchet and extension, and one lower back one you need a ratchet wrench on my 2013 Expedition. Thank you so much!

I purchased this item from Amazon Warehouse in like new condition. It was packaged suspect as I feel more filler should have been used to prevent the compressor from bouncing around in the box. It was not damaged and looked as if it were brand new. I installed it as soon as I could and it did not work, turns out it was a fuse I over looked. I figured the old one was 10 years old and probably the reason the fuse blew, so I kept it. This compressor has worked perfect, my Expedition EL King Ranch no longer sits almost to the ground in the back. This fixed my issue, was an easy install and at a great price. I would buy again. It is just as quite as the OEM if not more so.

This product saved $500+ versus a dealer fix. I had the old motor out already to diagnose, so in 20 minutes bolted the new motor in (3 bolts, 1 air line in) and turned the car on and my rear suspension was like new. The motor is exactly like the Compressor I pulled out of the 2013 Lincoln Navigator, I think they make the OEM motors and this has the same weight, same frame, and same quality as the OEM. The new motor is significantly quieter as well as even brand new, you could hear the compressor kick on and this one you can barely hear. For other installing: check for air leaks on hoses or airbags prior to motor (relay as well). To remove motor - take out passenger headlight, loosen the passenger wheel well liner, then there are three bolts on bracket holding the unit. take those off, the air line was tough for me as you need to push in on the orange seal and out on the air line, then the breather tube I just pulled off. I tested my old motor by hard wiring to a 12V source and got no action. Other than you can't drive your car, two days of shipping an $179 versus $75X for a dealer to replace.
