I just installed this TPS from dermol. So far so good. Just heads-up, if you don't have Multimeter tool . Just mark where your old one is sitting than make sure to set the new one at correcter marker.

Throttle Position Sensor Replacement (P 0122) Use Dremel to cut slot to remove those two factories cut off head bolts. Also need a back probe and multimeter to calibrate the TPS. Fit on 2004 -2005 Honda Civic Lx.

O.K. it's a bear to get to it so you can make the swap but stick with it as the result brings you back to "like new" performance. Dorman makes a quality part and you can trust and afford it! Allen head fasteners are much better for the part as space is too tight to deal with even a stubby phillips screwdriver. Much easier to install and adjust with an allen wrench.

Payed to get it installed due to laziness of doing it myself , but it works ! I already see the difference in mileage I get on gas. And car finally doesn’t feel funny when driving. Hope it last!

Installed on my daughters 2003 Civic. In the colder months, the car had poor fuel economy, irratic idle and terrible transmission shifting. Job was easier than expected. After removing air filter and box, Remove the 4 bolts holding the throttle body to the intake, to access the TPS. Use a dremel tool with cutting disc to grind a slot in each of the EXISTING screws that hold the original HONDA TPS in place. DONT GRIND TOO MUCH. Install NEW TPS, Set up the voltages as per the instructions and VOILA! Use proper torque specs when replacing TPS AND throttle body. Fixed the irratic revving and poor shifting. No complaints yet!

Working fine. It is difficult to install without removing the throttle body. Recommend to pay close attention to its position when removing and to install the new one exactly the same.

Bought this to replace the TPS in my 2004 Honda Civic. Honda wants you to purchase an entire throttle body for 1200 plus labor due to the OEM torque snap bolts (shame on you honda). This was 28.00 and came with all the instructions to replace and adjust. You will need a dremel, a digital multimeter, and Fluke TP88 Rigid Back Probe Pin Set, 2" Length or equivalent. I partially removed the throttle body and covered the intake with a large rag. Cut a slot in the bolts with the dremel and remove with a flat tipped screw driver. A stubby #2 phillips will assist with installing the new bolts (unless you completely remove the throttle body). Upon installation, snug the new bolts, and adjust as the included instructions instruct :). Great product! This also cleared up hard shifting...which was making us worry about a transmission issue...very happy for companies like this!

Installed on 04 Civic Ex, perfect fit and works. Easy to calibrate as long as you have a multimeter. Easiest way to install would be to remove throttle body but i didn’t want to at first and ended up having a hard time tightening the bolts due to lack of space. Took the throttle body off to clean it and calibrate the TPS, definitely a good deal for those of us who like to do our own work on our vehicles. Hopefully it holds up
