As other reviewers stated (and I foolishly ignored thinking my 2013 SE would be different): this cable set is too short for the models specified. I gave it two stars since it did come with a low price tag (around $35 vs. $50-75 common elsewhere), and because it was close enough to force it to work. I achieved that by cutting all but 1/2" of the plastic end fittings down to the smaller diameter originally provided for about 1/2" at the ferrule end. To do it, I gripped the larger diameter plastic with a vise grip at the 1/2" mark and used a hack saw to (semi-carefully) shave the sides off in a hexagonal pattern, then filed the high corners to approximately a circle. This, plus adjusting the brake handle screw to the loosest setting, allowed the cables to connect without the brakes dragging (granted, my pads are at ~50%). I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone follow this method, as it violates the manufacturer's intent, and may expose the cable to more abrasion since the end segment is now tighter against the control arm, but it has brought my parking brake back into operation without removing the cursed heat shields again. I plant to file a complaint with Dorman as well, as they are usually a good aftermarket supplier.

The product is designed similar to the OEM and has all the parts required. Recommended for Ford Focus 2013 model as mine was the same.

After a huge struggle trying to force it to fit I have to accept the cable is simply too short, you can force it to install but you will never release the brake even with the handbrake fully adjusted out; this is simply the wrong part.I am going to have to cut the ends off to remove it and eat the loss.Do not buy for 2018 Ford focus ST it will not fit! Try MOTORCRAFT BRCA289 which is supposedly OE fitment thought I cannot confirm.
