My 1994 Jeep YJ with 2.5L and AX5 transmission uses a plastic slave cylinder. So the bleed screw can strip easily. This is aluminum and originally for the newer TJ. But it fits in my YJ. And it's aluminum. Very happy with my purchase.

Works great, easy to bleed and install. One note, do not cut the tabs off, they will come off on their own.

The OEM slave cylinder this replaced from my 1995 Wrangler was made mainly of rubber, and as I was forcing the roll pin out to remove the hydraulic line, part of the cylinder actually fractured. The Dorman replacement cylinder appears to be forged (it's made entirely of metal) and should hold up longer than its predecessor. My only complaint is that the instructions weren't perfectly clear, and the product isn't exactly as pictured. There is no white retainer strap to hold the plunger in place before installation, as shown on the picture above. In addition, the installation manual refers to this strap, which does not exist. The rubber gasket/bracket, which came off the old cylinder and mounts between the transmission and the cylinder, also doesn't fit exactly right. The base of the new cylinder appears to be thicker than the original, not allowing this gasket to connect properly. It does appear, however, that the gasket is effectively preventing clutch fluid from leaking out.Overall, very happy with product--Pros: entirely metal, very little rubberCons: Unclear instructions, and inaccurate picture
