How to peel red backing off ： method 1
step 1:
separate the clear double sided tape from the red backing, then slowly stretch vertically downward.
step 2:
cut a piece of transparent double sided tape off with a knife(not together with red backing)
step 3:
leave transparent tape body shorter than red backing, convenient for next time use

The reason I didn’t care for it is it didn’t hold a dispenser in the shower it said that it was waterproof

Just a hair wider than 3/4". A little tricky to put on, since it stretches like crazy once removed from it's backing. Also need to use scissors to cut cleanly, a knife doesn't do it well. I used this for sticking cable holders and accessories to my 3d printer that required a 3/4" VHB tape. This tape is not as permanent, but has held so far.

It says the length is 3M, but it is two sets of 2M double tape.

This tape doesn't hold any weight at all. I used it to secure an extension socket to a cabinet and it fell off within 2 minutes of application. However, no damage done as the tape comes off very clean and does not rip up surfaces. Consider this tape similar to glue dots used to secure posters or paper to a wall, it has the stickiness of reusable sticky putty.

This might be the greatest hardware-related purchase I've made in the past ten years. The combination of a VERY strong hold and the ability to remove it with virtually no impact on the surface/wall is incredible. I remember when 3M command strips were all the rage. This is better, way better. Way stronger, sticks to more surfaces, including uneven surfaces (think popcorn ceiling), and removes with no damage, assuming the surface is not extremely delicate and you do it right.Yes, it's a bit of an art form to get the backing off (hint, use a knife to get up the corners AFTER you've secured the other side to a surface. And yes, you have to remove it VERY slowly when taking it off, but as long as you do so (maybe around 5-7 seconds per inch), it always comes off. I've yet to damage a surface unless I've pulled too fast. This is magic. Buy it. Follow the directions, tell all your friends.

Unlike what was advertised. This is very difficult to use almost impossible to separate the red protective layer from the glue layer. I had to read the order again to double check if what I bought was double sided tape or not. I don’t recommend

Some of these reviews are strange discribing this product... It is double sided tape and it sticks very well. The adhesive is a one time use and moving it will either deform the gel piece or reduce its sticking ability. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. The tape is a sticky gel that easily attaches to solid surfaces. In long strips this will not let go without a fight so "be sure" of placement before pressing down. I wouldnt use this on a surface that easily tears, like wallpaper or paint. The red plastic covering is tricky to remove when cut into small pieces/strips as its difficult to seperate the red covering from the gel initially. Though not a problem for long pieces as the two separate smoothly. Just be sure to cut each strip at an angle and press it down on your surface before removing the cover. You can also remove some of the covering before cutting the piece off the roll. Yes, some people in the reviews are really struggling with how to use tape...

BEST ADHESIVE EVER! it’s like that booger goo stuff they use on the back of credit cards. I have been using it all over my RV to stop thing from wiggling during driving.It’s not permanent. Doesn’t leave marks. You can roll it up to make a big thick ball if you need. Or pull something off and move it to a different spot and it immediately sticks again. I don’t know how ive lived without it. No more Velcro or double sided tape for me! Now I can’t speak for what will happen after it sitting for years, or if it will come off by then. Time will tell!
