I never saw something like this and immediately thought it would be great to prevent from tearing up my downspouts when using the string trimmer (weed whacker). The material seems thick and durable. It has a very tight fit so no need for screws or glue. It is a little tricky to install because downspouts have wrinkled edges to increase strength, but go slow, prying the protector apart and pushing it on all the way around, and it’s not bad. Each one took me about 90 seconds.
