I am no way associated with Dr Jim's Prescription Gun Elixir but we do have an commercial on-line lubrication business so I do have an understanding of lubricants. First, regardless what you hear, not all oil is the same. Lubricant companies use different additives and base oils. Some high quality and some low quality. CLP oil like Weapon Shield is an excellent high quality CLP and then there are some that just won't do the job. I think we have a winner here. Stay tuned. I decided to look up the main ingredient in Dr Jim's which is Graphene. I encourage you before you slam a product with your lack of knowledge, look up Graphene. Graphene is an excellent lubricant and not all that old. It is used in the automotive industry as an engine performance oil additive like molybdenum. However you can't compare the two. Again, look up Graphene. It's tough and you don't need to slop it on thinking more is better. You apply a coat, allow to dry several minutes, then wipe off excess. It it runs, you've applied too much. You should leave a shiny finish not dripping wet. A little goes a long ways. This CLP cleans excellent as good or better than Hoppes. It leaves a tough film and your firearm feels smooth and freed up. It's not a dry lubricant, you do have a light coat of lubricant remaining on steel. Today's lubricants use excellent cutting edge additives and are extremely tough against wear. So, before you call a product snake oil or listen to someone who doesn't know a thing about tribology, look it up and research for yourself. I'm going to test this CLP in extreme harsh range testing and feel confident it will hold up. I like it and have purchased more of it. The people who manufacture and distribute this product should provide a MSDS and instructions how much to apply this CLP in different environments. Just don't slop it on where it's runny. It doesn't improve wear and heat prevention.

Ive tried many cleaners and this one works very well! Competitor brands cleaning solutions are either not strong enough or their cent is way too strong! I can effortlessly clean easily with this brand as it dissolves carbon very well. This one has a scent similar to a unscented hair pomade. I can actually clean my guns in the living room without everyone screaming at me "it stinks in here!"

Great gun cleaner! This strips carbon off in seconds, and doesn’t smell as bad as other brands. It leaves my weapons looking slick and functioning flawlessly. I’ll definitely be buying it again!

If you’ve ever been in the trenches, whether hunting, at the range, or maintaining your trusty firearms, you’ll know that not all gun oils are created equal. Enter Dr. Jim’s Gun Oil: the product that makes other lubricants feel like they were concocted in the back of a shed with a can of WD-40 and a prayer.Let’s break it down, Sherlock Holmes style: 1. Smooth OperatorDr. Jim’s is like the James Bond of gun oils—smooth, versatile, and always gets the job done. It’s more than just lubrication; it’s a full-on TLC treatment for your firearm, keeping rust at bay like a hyper-vigilant security guard. 2. Scent of SuccessMost gun oils smell like they belong in a mechanic’s garage. Dr. Jim’s? It’s got a scent that whispers, “I’m doing important work here,” without assaulting your nostrils. It’s a subtle, clean smell, perfect for when you want to maintain your guns without smelling like a grease monkey. 3. The Multi-Tasker’s DreamThis isn’t just a one-trick pony. Need rust prevention? Done. Cleaning out grime from yesterday’s range session? No sweat. Dr. Jim’s tackles dirt, powder residue, and even that mystery gunk in your trigger assembly with the finesse of a surgeon. 4. Long-LastingA little goes a long way. I once applied Dr. Jim’s to a gun, and by the time I came back for another session, the lubrication was still hanging in there like the last guest at a party—except it was actually welcome. 5. No Mess, No FussIt’s not like those other oils that leave your gun looking like you just dipped it in a vat of oil. Dr. Jim’s absorbs beautifully, leaving a slight sheen without making your firearm feel like it belongs in a deep fryer. 6. Designed by an Actual Doctor (Kind of)The name “Dr. Jim” might make you think this product was formulated by some mystical alchemist in a lab coat, but no—it’s the product of someone who clearly knows their way around firearms. Trust the process. In conclusion, Dr. Jim’s Gun Oil doesn’t just maintain your guns—it pampers them. It’s the kind of product that, if it could talk, would say, “You take care of your aim, I’ll take care of everything else.” And you know what? It actually delivers.
