Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay India inks offer powerful color in a convenient dropper-stopper glass bottle. These highly pigmented India inks not only remain lightfast and permanent, but are also totally waterproof when dry. They adhere to nearly all surfaces and are non-clogging when used in pens. Inks can be diluted with water and used with brushes in traditional watercolor techniques or in dip pens, technical drawing pens, and airbrushes. All colors are brilliant and transparent, except black and white, which are opaque and have excellent covering power. Each set includes 12 different colors in 1.0 oz (30 ml) glass bottles with droppers and a custom mixing palette. Available in 24 colors.

This is not office stamp ink. I like the dropper top, and the color of the ink. However, part of the lovely part of this ink is that it dries quickly. It dried out my office stamp's ink pad. Oops! My bad. Would be a rockstar with calligraphy.

If you were to hypothetically use this for stick n poke tattoos HYPOTHETICALLY... you would need to go over the same spot many more times than you would with black ink. It might turn out the same shade of red as a fresh cut. Hypothetically. This ink isn't meant for that but IF you used it for tattoos, that's how it would go.

This product can be used as an opaque ink or a sheer wash depending on how much water you combine it with. It works like watercolors but dries waterproof so you can add layers without worrying about diluting what’s underneath. I love this stuff. Here is a example of how I used it.

Product is very intense and the pigment is very finely ground. I spray through my airbrush so needs additional thinning, I use water for that. Also, the pigment does settle out over a period of time so best to stir thoroughly before use. The bottle has a small ridge in the bottom so be sure to get in there also.

Very faint. It is just a very light pink color. I do not think it would be considered a Calligraphy color by any means.

I ADORE Dr. Ph. Martin's inks. The colors are true to how they appear in the bottle (once any sediment has been properly shaken up and suspended), truly waterproof, no fading. The ink doesn't run and bleed everywhere, it works with every nib I've tried (quite a range, every modern leonardt, almost every modern speedball, several others), and almost every paper (anything your nib scratches to bits is obviously out of the question). It is a thicker ink than many others you might find--it flows beautifully, smooth without breaks, but you don't want to, say, leave it in a roundhand nib with a reservoir untouched for ten minutes. It is ink. It will dry.But that just leads me to another plus--it's easy to clean out. Once dry it flakes off nibs at the touch of fingernail, not counting unfortunate grooves. It responds well to nib cleaning solution, abd of course when wet (again, not counting grooves where any ink would get stuck) it wipes right off with paper. I've also found that it come out of my scrap cloth with little effort, but don't go spilling it on your carpet or favorite white shirt and expect it to come out. I just mean that the scrap I use for cleaning isn't darkly or noticeably stained from these. They also are wonderful in painting, and again waterproof, so you can do things like soaking a drawing in tea to make it appear aged without worrying about losing the drawing.

This is the BEST brand of India ink. It's easy to work with, not too bad at staining and the colors are vibrant.
