This is nicely balanced and nimble, but water really shoots out the end quickly, so if you're trying to spread it around a bit, you might want something with a curvier spout.

I don't know why is it so difficult to find a good watering can?!?! This was $$. The body of the can is ergonomic and is a delight to pour, sturdy and lightweight. Holda 1.6 gallons, I believe, which is great. BUT... the head. Looks great, kinda works, but like all others, it pours out the head, instead of showers. Granted, it's usable, and better than the others, but I had to take the head off completely. It actually works better without it. I'm buying a 3D printer to make one myself because no one seems to understand how to make watering cans not leak.

I raise a number of veggies and herbs in my basement, and bought 2 of these watering cans 4 years ago because I needed a watering can that could water the length of the tubs I raise veggie greens in and get between the rows. I bought 1 in green that i use plant food for the veggie greens and herbs and 1 in red for the plant food I use for flowering veggies such as peppers and tomatoes. With two cans filled, I can water as needed with the correct plant food necessary for the plants I am watering without having to empty a can that does not have the correct plant food. The plastic rose that comes with it is great for watering smaller seedlings as it provides a shower that doesn't flatten or uproot the plants. It also provides an even distribution of water, when watering larger plants, that doesn't cause valleys in the soil.About the only downside I can think of is the lip on the top at the back of the can is too small. So you have to be careful not to fill the can to much to avoid spilling water from the back of it. This watering can holds a little over a gallon of water which could be a plus or minus depending on your watering needs and your strength. Since I have a lot of plants to water, many in large pots, my watering chores require quite a few trips back to the sink for refills. On the plus side, hauling 1 gallon of water is a lot easier than hauling 2 gallons with a larger watering can.At the time I bought these watering cans, they cost more than they do now, but considering they have lasted 4 years and I am still using them, this was a worthwhile investment. I would definitely recommend them. I have added pictures of some of my plants so you can get a idea how these watering cans have been useful for me. For the plants in pans, the long spout reaches to the back of the pans and under the plants.UPDATE 03/12/25:It has been 7 years since I bought the original watering cans. I still love them, but the handle on one of them cracked, so I decided to replace it. I now find that the price has almost doubled. I will be looking elsewhere to find this watering can at a more reasonable cost.I hope this review was helpful for you.

Amazing can I have been using for 3 summers now! This was my second purchase for faster hand watering. The plastic is very durable. Good size. Design very well made. I have been looking for practical, long lasting watering can for many years. I am a serious gardener and durability matters to me. Thank you for making this style. My first came with a rose head, which I do prefer. This one does not.

I have been searching for the perfect watering can for a long time. Finally found it.This can is balanced. It doesn't tip over when it's full, and it's easy to control. The STRAIGHT spout connects at the bottom, so you can actually control the flow of water and get all the water out. I have never understood all the watering cans that have a curved spout! The angle of the rose attachment is perfect for control. The rose comes apart for easy cleaning. And, the material is sturdy. It feels like hard rubber. These come in a variety of sizes. Never gonna buy another can.

Unfortunately the person I gave this to never mentioned that the bottom of this can was warped and it does not sit flat. This seller must deal in defective (seconds?) items. Dramm has always been reliable and the design of this can is excellent. But I ordered two as gifts and both were warped. Unfortunately it is past the return time.

I would have given this a higher rating except for two things: 1.) it leaks down at the seam (I used J.B. Weld to repair it), and 2.) I don't particularly like the design of the handle (the photo doesn't show it, but there's a split all the way down the center of it. I have yet to figure out the reasoning of this design).I was looking for a decent (and cheaper) replacement for my Haws watering can (plastic one), and thought this would fill the bill, but it falls a tad short of what I'm looking for in a watering can. On the plus side, however, I like the fact that the rose can be taken apart and the detritus removed so that the spray isn't clogged up. I also like the fact that it has such a long spout - making it easier to reach plants that are further back in my garden. However, it would be nice if the spout had a slight curve to it.All-in-all, it's a decent watering can and will probably last a number of years with good care. It can't compete with the Haws, but neither is it as pricey as a Haws.
