Nice landing net. Lightweight and foldable for storage. If you want to use it for fishing you would have to bait the net and keep watch for when there are fish or other animals in the net and then pull it up.

The only issue I have is that the outside ring doesn’t sink all the way to the bottom.

This is a great fishnet for our boat to catch baitfish for using to catch larger fish on rod and reel. The materials are high quality and stand up to rough treatment. The long, almost 50’ rope is great, and the fact that it’s bright orange and easy to see in the water is nice. I like that this is light and easily transportable. I recommend.

If you’re debating just purchase it. Such a great net took my boys fishes and they loved it.

I actually like this product a lot, but I’ll catch some minnows or some other small fish in there and then they just jump out sometimes. I guess that could happen with any type of netting. It is easy to hang up easy to pick up. Doesn’t really take a lot of people you can do it one person so it’s definitely worth it.

After using this ‘Drasry Fishing Net Trap for Crayfish Crab Bait Minnow’ assembly, I’m sure it would work great for baitfish and crayfish. Just change the bait for each. I use it to try and monitor the population percentages of fish in our small pond. This year we stocked several panfish species. How many are left of each, and what is the percentage of each in the pond? I can row out to the middle of the pond, catch as many of the fish as come to the trap, and then count what I have, and the distribution of species. It’s not perfect, but it gives me an idea of what to stock next spring. This net works very well for that application. It does not damage the smaller fish at all, and the mesh is fine enough to bring in even the smaller ones.I like it!

Review of Drasry Fishing Net Trap for Crayfish, Crab, Bait, Minnow, ShrimpI recently purchased the Drasry Fishing Net Trap for my fishing endeavors, specifically for catching crayfish and crabs, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with this product.First off, the construction of the net is outstanding. The material feels durable and well-made, which gives me confidence that it will last through multiple fishing trips. The net is not only foldable and collapsible, making it easy to transport, but it also maintains its shape well when set up. This feature is particularly convenient when you're out in the field and need to pack or store the net without any hassle. In terms of performance, the Drasry net works remarkably well. I've successfully caught a decent number of crayfish and shrimp using it, which definitely speaks to its effectiveness. The mesh design allows for easy entry while preventing any escape, so I feel confident that I'm not losing my catch once it's in the net.Another notable plus is the bait compartment, which helps attract the fish, making the catching process more efficient. I've noticed that my success rate has improved significantly since using this trap.If you’re considering investing in a fishing net trap, I can confidently say that I would buy the Drasry Fishing Net Trap again. It offers great value for the price, and its quality should stand the test of time. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a beginner looking to enhance your fishing experience, I highly recommend this net. It has truly made my time out on the water much more enjoyable!

Drasry Fishing Net Trap for Crayfish Crab Bait Minnow Shrimp Foldable Fish Crawdad LobstersThese are virtually the same type of crab hoops that I use in the ocean on for rock and dungeness crab in California. It's a large outer ring and a slightly smaller inner ring, that when lifted/suspended, looks like a basket. While deployed, the whole net will lay flat of the ocean/lake/river bottom, until you lift. Crabs and whatnot will be free to move INTO and OUT of the trap until you retrieve it--so, you'll need to keep enough bait in the net to keep the critters occupied.Instead of STEEL fixed rings, these rings are plastic with folding capability like a windshield sunscreen.Instead of classic nylon mesh, this uses the rubberized mesh. I don't think this is much of a selling point for crawdads or crabs, but since I'll occassionally use this as a landing net from a bridges, this could be easier on the fish. The mesh holes are definitely smaller than typical crab nets, possibly making it suitable for minnows.Without the rings being steel, I was surprised at how much weight you can actually lift in the net. The included rope(s) are basic nylon rope, should last a long time, even with sun/uv exposure. The net works well, as designed. There isn't a bait pocket though, nor a bait cage. You'll want a bait bag or wire cage to hold your attractant. I just secure a small cage with zip ties and it's good.I've NOT been able to properly fold the thing to fit back into the original carry case. It's like a windshield screen, where you have to do an awkward twisting fold, but with two separate rings of different size, it's not easy at all. I like a challenge and will continue to try, but I might just give up and store this net in it's fully expanded mode. Portability would have been a very nice feature, making the hoop small to carry. Sigh.
