The vest is as described. It is real leather. Now to break it in.I had to return the first one due to ordering it to big. The seller refunded the money promptly. I ordered another vest and it arrived early just like the first one.

I bought this vest for a cross country motorcycle trek and I'm so glad I did! The size and fit was great (6' 275lbs - 2XL). The leather is heavy without being stiff or cumbersome. The collar was initially a bit stiff and dug my neck whenever i turned my head. I probably could have used some sandpaper to wear it in a bit, but after a full day of wear and constantly trying to bend it and soften it up by hand it was actually comfortable. I would gladly buy this vest again.

I rated just on this vests look and features. It is an amazing value of you just need a cheap vest. It is very bland. I should've known when it said it was an "SOA" vest that it would be a sad knockoff of the real thing. The gun pockets have very small openings so you better have tiny hands and a tiny gun. It does feature a dual closure that allows access to said tiny gun pockets even when you're zipped up. When I'm shopping again, if this is the best I can afford, I'm going to save for awhile longer.

A couple bucks more than the 'blue light specials' on amazon but better quality on initial inspection. Have had several of these in diff brands and this is the nicest yet. Suppose time will tell as to how well it holds up. But initial impression is Good!
