This drill bit for your dremel is meant to cut all surfaces. Dremel also makes drill bits for each project such as wood, metal, sanding, polishing, masonry. But this little workhouse is meant for all hard materials. So if you are looking for a drill bit that fits a little of everything, this is it. Had no problem using this to cut stone.

I got this to cut tile to add a gang to a bathroom outlet box. It performed better than I expected.Too bad this thing costs 33% of the price of my cordless Dremel.

I used this to trim glaze that had dripped down and onto the bottom of a large vase I threw. If you are a potter, you know what I mean. Think of a drip of thick, thick molasses running down the side of a jar and ending on the countertop. Basically, in this case it's a drip made of solid glass. I used this cutting wheel to cut off the drip even with the base of the pot, where it settled onto the kiln shelf. Worked very well, very precise cut. IMPT: Please, if you do this, make sure you wear an N95 mask or the equivalent to keep from breathing the tiny particles of glass that this gives off....they will never come out of your lungs. BTW, I was also able to use a Dremel grinding bit to smooth the cut as well. Very happy with the results.

I found that this cuts just about anything. It wears down relatively quickly - depending on the item being cut - but it cuts, nonetheless. For small jobs, it's awesome. For larger jobs, buy two.

What do you do when you can't find what you need right away at the local brick and mortar stores?? Amazon of course!! Exactly what I needed to use my dremel to cut glass tile, works like a dream.

I have ordered this item (EZ545HP) several times through Amazon, shipping from 3rd parties. 2 of the times, I got a package with the EZ545 version (shorter life, thinner diamond, no blue face). These lasted minutes for cutting ceramic before becoming a sad steel disc.. When the proper EZ545HP's showed up, they lasted much longer (days of use versus minutes). Obviously, they both use the EZ lok and have diamond on them but for our use only the 545HP's worked.. I would give the 545HP's a full 4 stars across the boards, but given I don't always get what is ordered, it drops to only 3..

This has definitely been touched upon by other reviewers, but it’s worth repeating. This is NOT a cheap option and although the Dremel brand name is on it at the end of the day this is made in China like a lot of other alternatives on the market.With that out of the way, this product does preform exceptionally well. I really like the EZ lock design from Dremel and it makes these tools a lot less fiddley. I imagine that is partially responsible for the price, but in my opinion a much-welcomed improvement to the old way of swapping out discs. I know a few reviewers said not intended for cutting metal, but the screenshot I attached is from Dremel's website. Although the Amazon listing doesn’t call it out, Dremel does day it works with metal. I haven’t used it more than a few times to clean up grout by a backsplash electrical box, but I will update this if I feel the quality isn’t worth the price after more jobs around the house.I would say if you’re going to use it one or two times then go for a cheaper option. If you plan to use it more regularly and don’t want to deal with the cheaper screw on mandrel design, then this is for you.
