I have been a mechanic for 25 years, I love the idea of replacing the plastic Factory fittings With aluminum ones, But hopefully the manufacturer that makes this part will read this. The clips that are inside. The metal is too thin and will not hold on to the heater core line.You push it on It clips., but it will not stay engaged.You could reach up and pull it right off. I installed these on my 02 Silverado. Driving in the road and they blew off. They will not stay engaged onto the heater core. Until the issue is fixed, I cannot recommend this part for any vehicle.

I have used these on multiple vehicles, and they solve the issue of the plastic fitting deteriorating and breaking. I highly recommend them for your Silverado, Sierra, etc.

Extremely hard to get on and never really clip in place. Then pulled it off and the metal clips were bent from not fitting properly. Tried putting it on without the oring and clip and still didn’t fit. Not machined to go on all the way. Would have left me stranded if I hadn’t realized it didn’t snap into place. Bought the Dorman one and they snapped right on no problem. I do not recommend these.

The stainless part of these fitting appear to be good quality, however that's where it stops. I was hauling a trailer and the fitting blew off and dumped all my coolant on the high way over heating the engine until I could pull off. The clips in these fitting are not strong enough...
