Pretty small split shots but since they are oval in shape they are really easy to put on the line. I used them today with a watermelon green rubber worm jig and spaced a couple of them above the jig. Easy to put on and they didn't fall off. Good value for good quality.

I needed some lead to melt on New Years Eve, drop the liquid lead into cold water and the 'creation' will tell your 'fortune' for the New Year, i.e. a ship, a mountain, an animal, etc An old German custom from my childhood (-:

I like using these on my hook shanks for wacky rigs. Gives me the weight I need to get into vegetation and to keep worms dropping the way they should.

These oval split shot sinkers are a game changer. Not only is this split shot easier to place on a fishing line, but they also clamp shut by hand unlike ball-shaped split shot that have to be clamped using a tool (or to the dismay of your dentist, by biting down with your teeth). Because of their oval shape, they're far easier to handle. Compared to ball split shot, rigging your shot line can be done in a fraction of the amount of time. These are similar to Clam Shot XPS weights, but IMO even easier to pinch down on the line.Based on some of the other reviews I've read, it seems others are using incorrect methods to affix these oval split shots onto fishing line...place the fishing line into the slit inside the oval, then pinch down by hand to secure to the line. Finally...use pliers to firmly (but not with too much force) affix these to the line, otherwise they'll slide around freely which is not ideal. Be firm but don't exert too much pressure with pliers. Slide the oval split shot up and down the shot line to "break it in" so that they're easily moved if necessary.Since buying these, I'll never buy ball-shaped split shot ever again. These are MUCH easier to deal with and result in far less line tangling/hang-ups when casting. 5 star product.

Not as much lead content and slightly crinkly due to tin when crimping but it does the job.
