These pins are thick and extremely dull. They do not pierce without a struggle the quality cotton quilting fabric I was using. I finally gave up trying to use them. A big disappointment as I bought them as they are Dritz brand.

I would like to start with, "Wow! I will never run out of pins!" haha. But truly, this is a wonderous number of pins for such an affordable price. Anyways, for my sewing project these pins were just what I needed. As a beginner, I wanted to find pins that could be used with many types of fabrics without damaging them. These are a great choice for just that, as dressmaker pins are very thin. They do have a small head on the top to ensure the pin does not pass through the fabric, so these could be used to mark your place to sew parts together or hold the fabric in place. If the listing's photo is hard for you to see, I want you to be aware that the head is solid, so there is no eye upon this needle (you cannot pull thread through the eye, or rather, the lack thereof).Another deciding factor for choosing this set of pins was the fact that the pins come with a hard plastic snapping case, so no accidental ouchies when rummaging through your supplies. This also makes the set of pins safer to have out around children, as they will be protected by the case.I have no complaints. The pins seem sturdy and made out of a high-quality metal material. They worked well for my project.Thank you for reading my review and I hope you find this helpful! Happy crafting!

I purchased these for more purposes than one. I use them to pin up scarves and they are PERFECT for what I need them for. They are great sized, great quality, and don’t feel cheap. They could be used for so many purposes and I’m glad I was able to find such a great deal on them.I also find it extremely useful that they come in a large quantity!I’m definitely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone!

Well, they are straight pins. What else can I say. Pretty sturdy and a pretty good buy. I needed them and they fit the bill!

- They were exactly as described, therefore exactly what I needed. And they are Dritz - I've never had a single Dritz pin or needle that was not perfectly smooth and very sharp. No burrs. I don't have any idea how billions of small pins get Quality Control done on them, but however it's done, Dritz does it superbly - I've had other types of pins actually be unusable because of burrs and whatnot, so this is one of the *very* rare cases where I do stick with one brand. - I use pins for all sorts of things, including using them as small nails, and they remain strong and shiny, no corrosion. I'll be using these as "nails" for small wood items. And this was a LOT of pins for the price, so I won't run out any time soon ;) - For fabrics, I "stick" (ha ha!) with the white-glass-head ones that are really long and super-fine, but these shorter ones have all sorts of uses, so I couldn't pass up a box of 750, LOL!

Pins work well, are sharp enough to go through fabric, all straight... some of the other reviews said they found some pins without heads or pins without a point on them, this hasn't been the case for me I haven't found any defective pins so far. The thing I love most about these which I didn't realize was that they come in a little plastic box! I've been wanting a box to keep my pins in since I don't like pincushions very much and I've been looking for a little pin box but couldn't find one so I am very happy!!
