I purchased the Staple Ease Driver to facilitate the stapling 25000 square ft. of straw erosion control blanket. It took less than 10 minutes for a staple to hit a rock and jam inside the tool. The staple could not be removed without disassembly of the tool, which I wasn't going to do since there were no instructions provided how to safely clear a jam. I sent the tool back with the staple still jammed in it so that possibly the company would investigate and look to improve their design. This tool may work just fine on tilled soil that has little to no rocks or stones. It was a complete failure for me. The lawn area that I was working had been landscape raked but wasn't 100% free of rock/stones, which is virtually impossible with most soil types (other than sand).

$300 is way overpriced for this piece of garbage. Jams all the time. Pain to get the nails into the staple gun. I spend more time clearing jams and installing new staples because the gun design is flawed. The entire hammer part should be flat or recessed. However, inside the hammer has a driver and the nail gets to the side of the driver and I fight to get it out. I can shove the nails into the gun by hand because it is too tight to fit and is more of a pain than setting the nails in the ground and putting the gun on top and putting my boot on the corner. Save yourself $300 and get something else.

I have used this in and around greenhouses, garden beds, most of my back yard. It is one of my best purchases. Sturdy, well made, and I've even used it with linger homemade staples
