I purchased the drum mic clamp along with Nady drum mic. The fittings for both pieces do not match. I took the clamp to several musical instrument shops and they had nothing to join the two and stated that the size of the clamp threaded neck was neither a US or European standard. I am not able to use the item and would like to return it.

This is a bit of a puzzle to me.It's nearly an auxiliary microphone mount for a wooden hooped drum, but Ican't find a way to attach a microphone to it.1- The clamp mating surfaces only align after the gap is too small to fit a hoop.2-The threading of the clamp bolt/nut is of less than stellar quality.3- I can't find a threaded microphone clip adapter that fits. (8mm)The positives:1- Consistent coating (black powder coat?) of the metal parts other than the bolt/wingnut.2- The mini-gooseneck seems strong.Best use?...no clue.

I wanted to close mike my Conga's and they claimed that these would do this . The clamps however are totally unsuitable for this .
