The stand is great but the part where the cymbal sits was faulty and I couldn’t lock it in place because the locking screw and nut were defective. Disappointing

This was a gift for my husband and he’s super happy with this stand. Extremely sturdy and great quality. Even though it’s slightly expensive, I would highly recommend it.

After I bought this I pretty much immediately wanted the 9000 instead. I wanted to save a little money, and it is cheaper than the 9000, but the 9000 is definitely better. This is sturdy and more than gets the job done, so I can't complain.

Plenty sturdy for gigging yet lighter than the 9000 series. I am very happy with these.

Quality stand, great price, durable yet not so expensive you break the poor musicians bank.

The standard in drum hardware as far as I'm concerned. Not as bulky and heavy as the 9000 but more affordable and still tough as nails and more than enough. I'll put it this way: I had 3 5000 booms when I started drumming in 1997. I replaced them in 2019 just because financially I COULD. The old ones were passed down to my son who's getting started and I'm sure they'll last him just as long. Worth every penny. I've since moved from 3 booms to 2 booms and a clamp arm (they're not exactly light, just lighter than the 9000s) but they last. A stay at home drummer or a beginner I might suggest the 3000 series (they have great deals on packages) but for the actively working drummer you can't go wrong

Super strong stand with the first-rate quality you expect from DW. Purchased 2 and each holds a tom and a cymbal and 1 holds an add'l cymbal. Highly recommended!
