These are fantastic and I will definitely purchase more. Just soak them in water for 5-10 minutes then freeze them. The great thing is they don't leak so they are perfect for sandwiches or anything you don't want to get soaking wet when ice melts. They say one use, but I've used them multiple times no problem. My daughter and I drive over 2 hours when we get tattooed and we always pack sandwiches and snacks in our cooler. The last time we went, by the time we were headed home, the ice melted and soaked our sandwiches (gross) we had to throw them out. That is not an issue with these. You can also cut the 4 pack and just use 1 or 2 at a time. I am so happy to have found these because we won't be throwing away soggy sandwiches anymore.Just get them!!!

As stated in the listing, these ice packs cannot be used for goods that require a temperature below 32 degrees, the temperature at which water freezes. The flyer that comes with the Ice Owl Ice Packs says the packs contain “water-absorbent resin”. When soaked in water, this resin powder absorbs the liquid and forms a gel-like substance that swells up and then you freeze it. I opted for the 40-cell pack that comes in 10 sheets of 4 that can be cut into four individual cells. I got these for shipping homemade chocolates and things of that nature to friends and relatives in small, insulated containers. These ice packs have proved ideal for that purpose. The instructions say soak the cells for about 5 minutes until fully saturated. But when soaked for that length of time, the ice packs become bulbous so they end up taking up more space than they would if they were flat. That said, the unused packs are thin making them convenient to store until you need them.

These are so “cool”… get it… haha! But really, these are the neatest idea! Sure they’ve been around a while but I haven’t ever seen or used them before. You soak the lightweight thin paper ish packets in water and they soak up the water in I’m assuming a gel substance inside. Then you freeze the soaked packet. The neat thing is that they don’t sweat or leak. Kind of like a medical ice pack that’s softer on the outside and doesn’t sweat- but those? The clip holds in the ice you put inside and if that clip comes off you’d have water everywhere. I used them in a cooler when I go to the grocery store and I don’t have to worry about wet groceries/boxes when I get home. But all stays cold.Used once in a lunch box but I don’t bring lunch to work- was bringing cold drinks for myself when I was out for a long while running errands. Was so nice not taking a drippy wet soda can out of the cooler. These are great!!

We just came back from a long trip from California back to Nevada. These ice packs really do work! I was a little hesitant at first because the ice blocks that you freeze in your freezer seem to last a long time many many hours. These ice packs start out as basically flat but then once they are treated per the instructions they enlarge and stay cold. We were able to keep milk and other dairy items such as yo cold in our box for the entire trip. We did not have to stop on the way to get extra eyes or buy extra items. I’m sold on these packs as they are very convenient, fall down to practically nothing but the width of a piece of paper. And are very affordable. Recommended.

I got these for the inflatable food buffet instead of regular ice. These should be easier than having your food float in water as the ice melts. There’re perfect because they can be around food without being toxic. I was not expecting them to come completely flat and looking like they were empty. Then I read the instructions. Since they come dry and flat, you can keep them on hand without taking up too much space. Easy and quick hydration instructions, then all you have to do is freeze them. I will leave them together as four so they stay put under the food.
