I am running one of these D401s on the rear of my 2008 HD Crossbones now. I'm on my 3rd rear tire at 22K miles and it's almost bald. Time to change it. I will probably buy another one of these because it feels like a good fit and Dunlop makes high quality tires. Always gives good grip and rarely if ever slips out. My only complaint would be that I have only managed to get about 7K - 8K miles out of one of these for the rear (3 times). The front (D402) is a different story. I've been running the front one for about 10K miles and it still has a fair amount of life left in it. I'd give the D401 rear tire an average rating because of short life.

Dunlop brands this tire for H-P but it fits my Honda CTX 1300. Above average tire with good tread, siping and wear. A bit pricey compared to other tires but that may be the H-D factor. Michelin and Metzler offer a comparable tire.

Perfect replacement for stock rear tire. Much cheaper than any shop. Buy this and call around to have it installed. Mine was installed for 25 bucks.

This is the same D401 that came stock on my 2009 Crossbones. Lasted over 10,000 miles before reaching an unsafe tread depth. Wore evenly, and even took a few nails without ever losing air. They come stock on the high end Harleys for a reason, fellas. Dunlop is the good stuff. Highly recommended.
