The Dupont Tyvek underlayment went on faster and easier than tarpaper. That's a plus. I learned from information on the Dupont site that this product can be applied and will potentially withstand elements up to 3 months before the final roofing is installed. That would be amazing. I will get the roofing on ASAP but it's comforting to have the underlayment installed and be dried in even if it's just a day or two of rain risk.

Arrived on time, 30 minutes before the roof went on. We were counting on that as a big box store was another week out on delivery. The roofing protector is slightly different than traditional Tyvek in composition but easy to handle and work with, cut, etc. It’s new to me but so far I’m impressed. We used it under a metal roof, no sheathing, for a “lean to” addition on a shop building to keep drips off of equipment when the roof sweats. I will update the review if there are any issues or changes worth mentioning.

I too variance that it does not resist water whatsoever! I've used many different types of roofing underlayment and this one is by far the worst! Just like the gentlemens review above mine identical problem! You would expect for a synthetic underlayment to repel water as your buttoning up an adition on your home. Was installed yesterday because it called for rain for the next few days. After I seen it was leaking the next morning, I certainly thought something was done wrong. Inspected it. I could find nothing wrong and I've been doing this for 23 years. So I applied a second layer like it says can be applied. Same results! Very unsatisfied and it's still supposed to rain another day. Completely frustrated with it! Thanks a lot
