I had to throw out an entire pan of baklava yesterday because there were boar bristles from the brush, throughout the batch. As I gut the pieces, I could see them sticking out. My son ate the first piece and nearly choked on one. What a waste and not appetizing or food safe.

Then these are the brushes for you!! I washed them by hand, and they continued to shed hair at every use. These are very cheaply made in China. I should have sent them back at the first use but thought the shedding would dissipate with time. It did not, it only got worse! The part that holds in the bristles is made of plastic, which is not one solid piece, but two glued together, hence as the plastic splits, the bristles escape. I have glued the larger one together twice. I finally got tired of dealing with it and binned all three of them.Do NOT recommend.

I have been waiting to get these for years, these are very affordable, but not cheap!! They are well made & just lovely. I've bought brushes in the past that have fallen apart while I'm using them (oh yes, that's true) and eww, the hairs come off, so yucky! So far, these have performed very well!! Thank you!!

Beautiful! So hard to find basting brushes that are wide enough and thick enough to survive heavy use. The bristles are strong and thick and they do NOT shed! I gave 3 stars for "stretch" because I had no idea what this refers to.

The service provided by the company was outstanding and they shipped as advertised (actually arrived early) with no problems.I have not cleaned the item yet and don't feel qualified to comment on the durability due to the short time I have had the product (however it appears well made). I believe the product is perfect for my intended kitchen use, which is not basting or decorating baking products-- though I will try these with some of the larger brushes). I highly recommend the product.

So far, I've used only the large brush, and the bristles fell out of the wooden handle! The other two brushes seem to be fine.
