This block is amazing. It is very firm with flex if needed. I have been struggling with my repair of my trunk lid that has compound curvature as well as being closer to eye level.i could not get my repair perfect for the life of me. Many cans of evercoat applied, sanded off, repeat. The neighbors actually thought I was tweaking are had gone insane. I ordered this block. Took my time letting it do the work. Came out like glass, flawless, it looks perfect. This block feels good in your hands, it is pretty firm but follows contores really well without forcing it. It was perfect for my situation. Horizontal surface, highly visible, closer to eye level and a pretty decent size area to blend.

2week delivery and having no method for fastening the sandpaper were a dissapointment. Fortunately I had a roll of self-adhesive hook and loop 'Velcro' in the garage which I stuck to the surface. With loop backed sandpaper attached this was now a joy to use. Lightweight and ergonomic to hold it was perfect for sanding off the high spots before painting. I could not have done without it. A great tool for car paint prep.
