I am once again impressed by the quality of DuraTech tools. These bits did their job perfectly, and left 0 burrs on the holes I drilled. They feel weighty and durable, like all of the other duratech tools I’ve bought.

The bits come with a nice case and individual slots for each bit which is nice to hold everything in place. One of the biggest give a ways that the bits are not of high quality is the amount of oil used. In my opinion it's a sure sign that rust will definitely occur which means after every use I would need to oil the used bits as well do a quality check the kit often for rust.I have used several different step bits through the years and even though it's not of high quality carbide it still does the trick but for how long who knows. I have steel bits still to this date after 40yrs and they still work great but I still need to oil them every year to maintain them.

I haven’t always been a step drill user, but a few years ago I purchased my first set for a large sheet metal duct installation and found them to be a quick drilling solution, and while I always keep a full set of regular drill bits I also want to keep a good set of step drills and this is the most complete set I’ve ever seen and they have performed well for me.I’ve used these on light angle iron to drill ½ inch holes for toggle switches and fuse holders then moved up to drilling 7/16 inch holes through 1/4 inch steel in a trailer frame to mount safety chains. The smallest cutting diameter is like a pilot hole then each subsequent step moves up 1/16 inch until reaching the desired size. It’s quick, easy, and accurate which are my favorite characteristics for any tools on any jobs.It’s worth mentioning that the six have two different shank diameters, the three smaller for lighter work and the three larger for heavy drilling. There is also a center punch that will allow precise location for a pilot hole to ensure the hole is exactly where it’s needed and a case for keeping all seven pieces.

If you're not familiar with step bits this saves you from having to continually change bits to create a larger hole.The case includes many different sizes and clear lid to see different sizes of bits.There is also a center punch included.Don't forget to use the center punch first. That way you will keep the drill bit centered. Always good to make sure you have a small indention before drilling your first hole.

They are not worthy to buy here. Go to a retail store and get them. I look a lot of the reviews and many reviews do not make any sense to me. These are ok but they are not great for metal

I was looking for a set of drill bits to install nutserts into the interior sheet metal of my van that I'm converting into an RV. These fit the bill perfectly. First off, I don't need a drill stop with these. Secondly, I save time by not having to change drill bits when I need to install a different size nutsert. They are easy to use, seem to last quite a while & do a quick job of making the proper hole.

These drill bits are solid and quick to use. The titanium coating really allows for fast, smooth drilling and the sizes of the bits are very accurate. There are 50 sizes so they cover a wide range. It conveniently comes with a center punch which helps get the bit started on its right line. The shank is nice with a flat edge for no slipping. I just wanted to use it with a hammer drill but it didn’t have a quick connect; regular drills only.
