Bought this as a more robust backup/replacement to a full ratcheting flare nut wrench.Probably not good for initial breaking of a nut. The ratcheting mechanism also suffers when the bolt become too loose. So there is a narrow window of usability. Another oddity is how quickly you ratchet impacts its usability. With most ratcheting mechanisms speed of ratcheting is no issue, with this one, you must slow down your natural rythm to allow the mechanism to lock. Its a learning curve, but not horrid.Also to reiterate a limitation included in the description, you have to have 60degrees of motion to ratchet.Its a very niche tool, but handy if you do alot of this type of work requiring flare nuts and open spaces. Confined space use is very hit and miss.

They get super good grip, even when flare nuts have been rounded of by regular flare wrenches!

This is an Amazon Vine review of the DuraTech ratcheting flare nut wrench setWell, I finally got fed up with my lack of metric tools! Crescent wrenches are great, but you really need a nice set of metric wrenches, getting the right size definitely works much better than an adjustable wrench. These “ratcheting” wrenches are great and super convenient for a multitude of purposes. I wish there were more wrench sizes in the set, or maybe both ends could have been ratcheting of different sizes, don’t really need the normal open-ended wrench of the same size as the open ratchet wrench. But either way, this is a good starter set and I’m sure I’ll put them to use. The tools are a good quality, the rollup case is a nice touch as well. All in all, this is a great purchase for a starter metric wrench set, I’ll probably be looking to get more sizes as they can be used in almost every application.
