This dust extraction hose works well, but it's nowhere near the quality of the hose it seeks to imitate. The hose is more pliable than most PVC hoses, but it's not as easy to maneuver as the Festool. Also, the connections ave just basic PVC, and don't lock in place nearly as well. And, one thing that I really miss is the smooth hose that doesn't get caught up on sharp bends. This is very apparent when using the track saw. The ribs on this new hose stick out and tend to catch on the edge of the track, so I have to remember to push the hose out of the way. Nevertheless, it does make an adequate connection, and the tool end might have a slight advantage: the PVC connection is more tapers, so it ought to fit a wider range of tools. And, finally, the big advantage of this hose is that it's half the price. For me, at this price, it's a decent value.
