I've used this on 2 different kitchen sinks, to mount behind the sink, to keep water from sitting after washing dishes.I clean the area, lay this down, and caulk the edges. Now water is easy to keep away from this area, resulting in a cleaner kitchen.

When you try and take the red tape off it no matter what we did the glue came off with it so that was a bummer we won't be able to use it.

I used this flexible silicone trim around the edges of our bathtub to create a more finished looking seam between the 3 walls that surround the bath tub and the tub edge. I cleaned really well first, then wiped the area with alcohol before adhering the trim to the wall & bath tub edge. It seems to have stuck well and looks much better than it did before, so I'm happy. This trim could be used in so many applications, the possibilities are almost endless! I'm sure I could use this trim in other areas of our home, but this 118" piece was just about right for this application.

This was really easy to cut and apply to the base of my tub, which was not properly caulked. Water was sometimes splashing over the side and sliding to where it could get underneath the floorboards. I've been wanting to finish it for some time, but the gaps between the tub and floorboards were too large for a caulk gun to be sufficient.I will say that the place where water spills most easily seems to show slight signs of peeling, but I also discovered adhesive wipes in the box after I was done that I should have used beforehand to enhance the stickiness. For now, I'll just caulk the top of that area and call it good. One think I should have noticed beforehand: this is a bright white, and I thought it would match my tub, but my tub is a little of a warmer color. It still looks better than an unfinished edge, but just keep that in mind if it's the sort of thing that will bother you.

I’m using the Duzzy Water Guard Barrier on the sink in our powder room because water pools behind the faucet and along the back of the sink/vanity. I’ve spent hours removing mineral scale with my little scraper - then I found this listing.I wondered how good the adhesive would really be, but the listing did say I could use extra glue to ensure it holds. I was prepared but didn’t need it.Included with the barrier were 3 towelettes labeled “primer” and I followed the instructions including wearing disposable gloves and waiting 5 minutes before installing the water guard.I measured and cut the barrier to the length I needed using a new razor blade. Cuts like butter. I removed the cover from the wide side and carefully pressed the barrier against the backsplash. When I tried to remove the cover from the narrow side, it caused me some frustration before I was able to finally tease a corner loose and tear that strip off. Both sides stuck to my vanity and there is no sign of lift. After I installed the barrier, I smoothed along the whole length to see if it was going to deform or stretch. Nope - the length is the length so measure twice cut once.I’m thrilled with this product - it was the solution I didn’t even realize I’d been looking for!All the stars

I recently used this and it turned out to be a game-changer in my bathroom. I utilized it as the base caulking around my tub, specifically to address an extra gap between the tiles that was a bit too large for regular caulking. This product exceeded my expectations by seamlessly closing the gap, providing a perfect solution that not only enhances the aesthetics but also offers protection to the adjacent wall. One standout feature is the thickness of the material, contributing to its durability and resilience. It adheres exceptionally well to both the tiles and the tub, ensuring a secure and long-lasting application. The smooth finish adds a polished look to the entire setup, elevating the overall appearance of the bathroom.Impressed with its performance, I've decided to get more of this Shower Threshold Water Dam to use in another bathroom. Its effectiveness in closing gaps, its adhesive properties, and the overall quality make it a standout choice for anyone looking to address similar issues. I highly recommend it to those seeking a reliable and visually pleasing solution for sealing gaps and protecting bathroom walls.

In the attempt to replace the caulking around the tub and shower we have been switching to this type as no matter how much you spend on caulking and what it says it always shrinks/cracks and molds. So far we have had really good luck with this type (silicone) of trim.- So they did not come in looking in great shape. A good portion of the backing was no longer attached.-Make sure to super clean the area and they will go on pretty easily.- Also measure/cut/dry fit before taking off the backing.-The directions say to peel the back as you push it on but that actually leads to more issues so I found you should start peel back with both sides. Then pull back one side pushing down all the way to the end. Then go back and pull the second side pushing that down. In order to push it on well I use a dry rag to apply even pressure.- Even though it was shipped kind of coiled it straightened out pretty well.- I had to get some clear caulking to help where it was no longer sticky because of shipping issues. On that note I have found the stuff they sell to fix fish tanks works so much better for this than caulking itself.- Also it does not turn corners well at all, you will have to cut it and start again. As long as it does not dry/shrink/crack and stain like “non-shrinking/cracking/staining/mold resistant” caulking it will be ok by me.
