It does hold my splash cymbal over my crash cymbal well. It doesn't provide a way to hold the bottom cymbal tightly. So, it doesn't work holding the splash over the ride, as the ride will start wobbling a lot while playing. It would have been nice if it has some sort of flange that let to put in some felt and hold the lower cymbal firmly.

It holds a cymbal, 6” from where you previously clamped the one below it.

Never bought one before, or even played with a set that had them.. however. I just got it and put it on my 16" trash crash cymbal and had my 10" splash on top. I probably could of went with the smaller rod, but I wanted to make sure I had clearance for any of my cymbals.

This is my second cymbal Stacker. I bought the 4 inch for a splash to fit on top of an 18" crash. This new one is 6" and works great on my ride to elevate the Zil-bell I just bought. Leave plenty of room to hit the ride bell as well. DW is the best out there.
