About this item

  • Dwarf, evergreen shrub with tight branches that create a spreading mound excellent for low hedges, borders, or around foundations. Tiny foliage on twiggy branches that takes well to shearing. A tough plant that tolerates a range of soils conditions and can withstand drought or flooding.
  • This evergreen needs a regular water schedule to ensure the growth of a mature root system. The first year of growth requires watering weekly. After the mature root system is established, watering is needed occasionally, except during a drought, watering is needed regularly. Once mature, shearing is recommended to maintain desired shape.

Even though I irrigated them throughout the summer, they all died. I’ve been gardening for over 40 years, and I have not been disappointed like this before.

Poor success rate in establishment. This was due, I think, primarily to root-binding. My order had two rooted cuttings in each tiny cell - I tried separating some (impossible, all of them subsequently died despite care) and leaving them (which also failed). Only the 1 cell which came with its own single cutting has survived thus far, and even that one was badly root-bound.

Plants were larger than I expected and very healthy. A tiny bit root bound, but they transplanted well and have been growing.

They were packaged fine. They just don’t look very healthy. We’ll see. These pictures are after I transplanted them into quart containers. EDIT: 01/30/2023 They all appear to be dead. No leaves left on any of them.

I was so pleased with these little plants, & the packaging. They came securely packaged in sturdy little containers, & they were all healthy when they arrived. A few even had pretty little blooms on them! I planted all 10 this summer, & all 10 are still thriving & growing. I would have no hesitation in purchasing again from this company.

They are very small young plants. They are very healthy and have pleasant symmetry.

I loved the healthy look of the plants when they arrived. Dark green leaves and strong growth.

I like them. I could only afford very small ones.I had nice soil put into the bed and they look very green and healthy. I’m sure they will start growing a lot after it warms up!
