Do we love this fireplace? Yes, we do. However, it has been a bit of a struggle for us with the install. This is our first electric fireplace install. We personally didn't find the directions super helpful in terms of trying to install this into or onto a wall that doesn't already have an opening for the fireplace. Additionally, there really isn't a good way to do a simple surface mount with this unit. It doesn't come with any surface mount system or brackets.After a lot of YouTube research we were able to get the unit installed. We did a bump out-build out frame- on our existing wall and then drywalled the area to give this fireplace a built in look. I have to say that the fireplace was worth the effort. It looks and feels amazing. It puts out quite a bit of heat when running but bonus for this unit: you can use the flame effect with no heat! I really love this for a cozy look on a day that's too warm for the heat.The unit is pretty quiet when running. It has nice options for flame color and brightness which can all be be controlled via the remote. The timer is a useful feature.Overall, we really like this fireplace unit. It was worth the effort but I think most people will need to do additional research to get this unit installed. Now that it's installed, it looks amazing in our bedroom. It warms the room on a chilly night and gives a beautiful ambiance to the room.
