This is by far the easiest to use plug kit for riding tubeless

Much quicker than threading a bacon strip into a needle, which is probably only important when racing (probably why this model is called "racer").I carry this in my back pocket when gravel racing. I had a particularly tough day recently when I tried running a GravelKing SS 33 that was not up to chunder on the Last Best Ride course. As soon as I realized I punctured, I was able to whip this out and place a plug before losing much air. A quick blast from a C02 and I was rolling in less than 90 seconds. I even got to try it out 2 more times before the race was over. All the plugs held for the remainder of the 90 mile race. The only issue I've ever had with these: twice the brass tip has become detached when pulling the tool out, resulting in a wasted plug and making me wish there was a more compact way to carry extra plugs

Yes this tool is made of plastic, but the glass fill should make it last. The mount on the other hand is way too loose and I don't trust it on its own. I use a long twist tie as well to keep it secure. Dyna plug tools are great although not cheap. But I guess you get what you pay for in this instance and I love to support American companies. I went ahead a got one of the machined offerings as well. Good stuff👍✌️

ConsThe price is VERY high for what you get. After a 2-3 flats, you better buy more tips. More money. The "silicone holder" is way too flexible and loose to keep the dynaplug secure. That they claim this version is for mountain bikes is just silly. Dynaplug could easily improve the holder but instead, people pay this crazy price and then loose the tool because the holder is a joke.ProsVery light weightVery easy to useEffective hole plugger

Update - unfortunately I got another large cut in the same tire so I didn't want to plug it second time in another spot. At this point I just needed to replace the tire itself. Overall I think these are good if not best for when you're out on the road and need to get a quick fix. I probably rode about 150-200 miles with the tire plugged before the second cut. I did notice the air would escape the plugged tire fairly quickly so needed to pump up the tire before every ride, and probably wouldn't want to risk going too far, say 1-2 hours max.I just recently went tubeless on my road bike. I got the warm thingies to plug tires for my rides as they were super cheap. Unfortunately on my first larger cut, where the sealant wasn't able to take care of it, the warm things just didn't work. I was able to put one in after quite a bit of hassle but taking 50 yard ride the thing jumped right out. i didn't even bother trying to re-do it. Those things just seem very finicky, melty, goey, just a pain. I went to my local bike shop but they said they do not do tubeless plugs because they don't work and wanted me to just buy a new tire ! What ?!?! Anyway, I went back home and ordered these dynaplugs. I got it next day, plugged the tire, took the bike for a few mile ride and all seems good ! Just took it out for a 20 mile and all still seems good. Now, I'm not sure how long it will last but this is so much better than the other crap. This was super easy, the plug went right in, no mess no struggles, easy peasy ! It's worth it for me already just to get out of a pickle while far away from home. If it lasts long enough then it would just be cherry on top. So far it's great, the only drawback it's a bit expensive but for an emergency this appears to be a perfect solution.

This thing is awesome. Saves so much time and energy with the non-sealing tubeless punctures. Have it under/next to my bottle cage and it does not move. Super easy and many a ride has been saved by this thing if you add up the number of people who I have convinced to get it. Recommend carrying a refill pack (i think it comes with a small one) with you on the ride in your saddle pack as it always pays to be prepared.

Very good. Small n very compact. Unproven in real life test. However tons of YouTube show positive results. Pray it doesn't happen on road.

I wanted to wait until actually needing to use this in the wild before leaving a review. Flatted on a sharp rock on some nasty single-track nine miles into a 60 mile gravel race. Had the Dynaplug and a CO2 with valve head pre-threaded in my jersey pocket. I thought my race was over when the sealant wasn't doing the job. It took more time to clear off mud to find the puncture than it did to plug it with the Dynaplug - shoved it in, pulled it out, rotated the wheel down and the sealant plus plug sealed the puncture in just a few seconds. Shot some air in and spent the rest of the race chasing back. The only question is why would anyone ever contemplate mounting this to the frame when it takes up exactly zero space in a jersey pocket and only adds the risk of losing it on some wild rocky descent? The very inclusion of the mount is baffling, but like me you should just toss it in the recycling and add the Dynaplug to your regular jersey pocket essentials. This is obviously way more expensive than the bacon strip plugs, but who wants to mess with that in a race scenario, or really ever? If you valued fiscal sanity in your sport of choice, you'd be a runner instead.

I haven’t had to use this yet, but it’s extremely light. Definitely a good thing! Except that the frame adapter to hold it behind a bottle cage feels way to flimsy. There’s no strap so if you head into the brush (voluntarily or not) you’re going to worry the rubber pinchers stayed firm. I’ll be putting this in my shirt or seat bag.
