So, I'm using this as a coolant overflow for one of the mud trucks. I was kinda turned off to the idea of the fluid level hose. Which as I predicted feels chintzy. The other pieces I figured I'd take the risk on with the o-ring fittings. I found out that the oil pan plugs from a Nissan fit the threads perfectly. So those are now sitting in those spare couple of holes. The barb fitting is a little bit on the big side but works for what I needed for. The o-ring also doesn't seat very well but a little RVT fixed that right up but I also anticipated having to do that overall not a bad buy for something that looks good and is machined very well. You'll definitely want to wash it out before any kind of application installation because there were a few things left inside that looked like polishing compound. Came out real easy. The threads on the fill top or machined very well along with everything else other than crappy o-ring fittings this would have gotten a five-star from me.

Nice size, welds are super, easy to mount, high-quality machined threaded cap, and includes useful fittings. You should know that the 1/4NPT threads are simply cut into the swarf that's formed by punching these holes; there's no reinforcement and the threads aren't very straight or precise or tight.For the money, though, it's an excellent value. I've bought two!

I used this tank in a garden tractor for tractor pulling worked great did not leak with race fuel in it. Big fittings for high flow applications. Fittings are easy to find at hardware store if 90degree fitting or something is needed. No odd threads you can’t find anywhere locally. Will buy again for my next project.

If this is a recovery tank, and there is no hose to go down into the bottle, then how, exactly is coolant supposed to be returned to the primary coolant system? Once it goes down into the hose barb fitting at the top/side of the tank, that would not offer a return path for coolant.What gives? It does not seem like you can put the coolant barb on the bottom of the tank???I've got mine out for delivery, but if it comes with a short clear hose, I'm gunna flip a Fng lid.No good for any customer to see the manufacturer tell them SOL buddy. They should send the right hose, to complete the transaction, or expect it is returned, and credited.Sorry to hear ppl wasted their time, the product looks great, I can only hope this isn't a problemI did also reach out to the manufacturer, and didn't get a clear answer. They just don't know.

The bottle looks like it is put together well, nice welds, it's pretty. The coolant level hose was too short to use. May have been for the smaller tank, had to plug the holes and throw fittings away. Barbed fittings are for a ½" hose, useless. Plan on purchasing appropriate fittings if you are using this for a coolant expansion tank.
