Your cart is empty.The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial and space warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces. It is one of the seven American uniformed services. Initially formed as a part of the United States Army on 1 August 1907, the USAF was established as a separate branch of the U.S. Armed Forces on 18 September 1947 with the passing of the National Security Act of 1947. It is the youngest branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, and the fourth in order of precedence. The USAF is the second largest and most technologically advanced air force in the world. The U.S. Air Force articulates its core missions as air and space superiority, global integrated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, rapid global mobility, global strike, and command and control. The U.S. Air Force is a military service branch organized within the Department of the Air Force, one of the three military departments of the Department of Defense. The Air Force, through the Department of the Air Force, is headed by the civilian Secretary of the Air Force, who reports to the Secretary of Defense, and is appointed by the President with Senate confirmation. The highest-ranking military officer in the Air Force is the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, who exercises supervision over Air Force units and serves as one of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Air Force components are assigned, as directed by the Secretary of Defense, to the combatant commands, and neither the Secretary of the Air Force nor the Chief of Staff of the Air Force have operational command authority over them. Along with conducting independent air and space operations, the U.S. Air Force provides air support for land and naval forces and aids in the recovery of troops in the field.

I was very surprised at how fast the color fades. My husband and I are both vets, and I worked in military clothing sales at a military base later in life. So I’m very familiar with the Eagle Crest brand. They’re normally good products, and I admit that this hat is well made and the embroidery is quality. Just for whatever reason, the blue dye is not quality.And yet, this is the hat my husband insists on wearing, so he’s on his third one now that he wears as his “going to town” hat, and he saves the two faded ones for yard work on our property. I’ve tried to tell him to get a different brand, but no. He likes how this one fits and wears, and he says it’s comfortable. And when it’s brand new before it fades, he likes how it looks with the bright stitching against the dark blue background. So I guess we’ll be buying another one here in the near future…and another…and another…

I absolutely love this hat. While this is my wife's Amazon account, I have purchased multiple copies of this hat. I wear it every day when I step out of my house. They are comfortable, adjustable, and the velcro has never worn out, ripped, or fallen off. The stitching on the fabric is well done. The only thing that drives me nuts about these hats, and it's my fault. After a while of wearing it, it does get sun faded, and goes from the deep blue, to a more pinkish where it gets faded. I'll be making another purchase of this hat here shortly as I am due for another one.

I bought this for my wife. We are both USAF veterans, and I sort of stole it from her. I wear it all the time now. Please don't tell her I stole it as she is still hung up over the whole "stolen underwear" incident of 2023 thing. I just don't understand women, sometimes!
