I use these compass tools with my 7th graders to draw circles. I bought a pack to replenish what I already had and one of them is already broken after only 1 class of use.

Instruments were colorful and definitely easily to find among other drawing instruments. Instrument is also perfect for making my mandalas.

These are easy to use on a flat surface, but it gets tricky when it runs into a binding of any sort… so notebooks, workbooks, etc will be tricky

I am of the generation that had to use those weapons grade stabby compasses that poke holes in your paper, slip, and generally ruin your day. BEHOLD! These compasses will change your life. I ordered them for a unit on earthquakes, in order to do triangulation of data. They are simple to use, and make a nicely accurate circle. If you work with adolescents, these are a tremendous tool.
