I used one of these on my H. F. tire changer. It is a necessity if you have aluminum rims to keep from scratching them up. This is a normal wear item and it will not last forever, depending on how many tires you change. Five is probably a lifetime supply for me as I do not change that many tires. There are some real good videos on you tube about modifying the H. F. tire changer to use these, well worth a watch.

I recently swapped out the old demount head on my tire machine for the Earthtec duck head, and I’m impressed with how well it works. It’s made from durable plastic, so there’s no risk of metal to metal contact that could damage my wheels. This is especially important when I’m working with expensive rims or delicate finishes. Installation was super easy just fasten it to the bar through the two bolt holes, and it’s ready to go. I was able to quickly swap tires without worrying about scratches or dents on the wheels.
