I purchased this baseball helmet for my child, and it has performed well throughout the season. The fit is comfortable and adjustable, providing a secure feel while batting and running the bases.It offers good protection, and I appreciate the lightweight design, which doesn’t hinder performance. After a full season of use, it still looks in great shape with no noticeable wear and tear. My only minor concern is that it could have a bit more ventilation, as it can get warm during games. You should not "need" a helmet for T-Ball or Coach Pitch provided that the coach pitching is not spraying the ball all over the place. With that in mind, something that is cheap that does the job is exactly what you need. This fits the bill. Under $20, will meet league requirements, is not too heavy, and the youth size should work for kids aged 5-8.
