I don't often write product reviews, but this one needs done. I finally got the Stand assembled, and it seems to hold up the Bass ok. I had to take the stand all apart and drill out one of the predrilled holes. It was in the wrong location. I could not tighten the knob on the back of the Stand, that holds the neck support in place. It took me about 30 minutes to figure it out, and then fix it.BUT if you do not have a good assortment of hand and power tools, and do not have Machine Skills, you might well have to ship it back and hope the next one is right. My advise is DO NOT BUY this product

I love the stand and it works great. The only issue I have is I am missing the nut that holds the bow hanger on the stand. The box was open on the corner and it must have fallen out.

It's adjustable and folds up enough that you can take it with you to a gig. For the 3/4 double bass, I have the upper arm extended all the way up. The two lower arms are adjusted so that the pin is just off the floor which makes it pretty easy to pick up the bass off the stand. The neoprene where the legs meet the upper arm is necessary because unless you put it on the stand just right, that neoprene will touch the back of the bass. I'm guessing that wouldn't be the case for a cello or a student sized bass. The bow hanger is handy since I have both a German and a French bow so I leave one on the hanger and keep the other in the bow quiver.

This is perfect for my flatback tambura (tanpura, tamboura). This instrument is hard to store. The instrument is much more narrow than a bass or cello, so I took the tie from the top of the stand to secure the bottom rails so they would stay together. Voila!

This was bought for my grand daughter as she plays the double base and has been wanting a stand for it and she loves it

Fits a 3/4 Double Bass securely. It's pretty sturdy and solidly stands, no tipping or anything. The rubber-covered arms and the secure strap on the neck are a nice feature too.
