Spent months looking at reviews and finally bought this one. It's cheaper than the name brand, which was a strong selling point.Pros:*base and top are easy to clean after use*top removes--makes it easy to work in smaller space*magnets help top lock into precise spot so you stamp in the exact right spot*easily reink to fix a partially stamped image or for batch cards*clear top plate makes it so easy to see work*magnets that hold paper or card in place are strong though I have better results with additional spots of removable or washi tape since there are only two magnets. Two more magnets would help.*cling or clear stamps work best. You can use old rubber stamps if you remove them from the wood base, however, the adhesive may be more difficult to remove from the stamping plates.Cons:*plastic case/holder around the magnets is thin and definitely will break over time. Plan on it. Be extra careful with the magnet holders and they will last longer than expected. Also, when the plastic casing breaks, the magnets will still work but they will be harder to pick up.Overall, I wish I'd bought this sooner. It has saved cards that I've misstamped and make it easy to restamp as needed.

A fellow card maker suggested this more than a year ago and I couldn't be happier that she did. I've used it ever since nearly every time I set out to make cards. Sixty Christmas cards were stamped neatly and cleanly using this platform tool in no time at all. Alignment is a snap so making a series of cards is easy. It's simple to clean, doesn't take up a lot of space, and has stood up to steady use with no difficulty. If you're a stamper, you'll love this.

The stamp platform is an affordable alternative to the Misti BUT there are some significant differences. First the positive features. The 2 magnets are strong and have a plastic tab so they are easy to hold and move. No need to create a tape “handle”. The price is less than 1/2 of the Misti. You can stamp basically any size paper because there are 3 open sides. There are no hinges to break or loosen. Top is removable and can be used as a stamp block. It is very sturdy and seems like it will stand up to use. Now for the negatives. Because 3 sides are open, there is no corner to push your paper against. I thought I could just use the edge of the ruler to place the card, but I’d the cardstock moves, it’s not easy to replace it in the same exact spot. That’s the biggest problem for me. There are rulers on the perimeter, but they are white and very hard to read. I think it’s a good choice if you’re not sure you want to continue stamping or if it’s what your budget allows. But I’m going to look for other options.

Excellent product. I can stamp fine images repeatedly to get a crisp image. I like the size, the quality of the materials, the magnets, and how the top is on magnets and not a hinge. I use it all the time!

Its terrific! I never thought I needed a stamp platform, but after recently getting into layered stamps this has really helped! Plus I can be more efficient in multiple designs. I had not used a platform so I didn't understand the "hinge" or "spring." (See photos.) The "lid" comes completely off, which is great when inking up stamps. And it realigns via the post magnets, for accurate alignment every time. The magnetic posts are spring loaded for a smooth, easy action. It works great! I personally would like a top rail that was raised in order to square my cardstock, but I can see advantages for why it is not raised. I would invest in another set of magnets like EVERYONE else does with other platforms. I routinely use purple tape, but its kinda a pain. I bought this because of the price point compared to others, and I am very happy with the performance and size and overall quality. So glad I bought it!

I struggled to line up exactly where I wanted to stamp and this makes it so easy that the cards I did for Christmas almost looked professional. Love it and am looking forward to making more cards in the future.

I got this stamping platform instead of the more expensive ones I looked at. This one works okay, but you have to push really hard to stamp close to the edge on the side with the magnetic hinge. Still, if you position the paper carefully, this works well enough...and it's always good to be able to re-stamp with accuracy if needed.

Like others who've posted reviews, I'm relatively new to stamping, went a little crazy buying clear stamps because they're pretty inexpensive here on Amazon, and then decided that acrylic blocks weren't going to do the trick. I needed a positioner. So I looked around, mouth literally wide open in unhappy amazement at the cost of these items. I also noticed that most of them just consist of two hinged plates, and I felt that those plastic hinges seemed like a real weak point. I've never used any of those products, but my experience with other plastic things suggests that they're going to break at some point. Anyway, amongst all those expensive items was the Bira (which has "Sunlit" written on it, and "Bira" nowhere, but I'll continue to refer to it as a Bira), which was not expensive at all. The other brands looked like they started around $60, while the Bira is just under $25; a *considerable* difference. So, I figured I'd get something cheap and flimsy, but it'd give me a chance to try positioners out to see if I wanted to spend the big bucks on one of the major brands.Turns out the Bira is NOT cheap OR flimsy. It feels solid, and I am not afraid that I'm going to snap it to pieces just by looking at it. The bottom plate is heavy and obviously contains a steel plate for the magnets, which are surprisingly strong! Your cardstock is NOT going to slip under these magnets. The top plate, which I imagine is acrylic, feels nice and sturdy. It's not a thin sheet, and doesn't feel like it's going to break the moment I press on it.Instead of a hinge, the disconnected top plate magnetically snaps onto posts set into the bottom plate that feel quite secure - once in place, the top plate can only move straight up and down, and not to the sides in any direction. You position your stamps on the cardstock, just "snick" the top plate in place (the magnets will grab it and position it perfectly on the posts), press down and the springs bring it back up with the stamps attached, you pull the whole top plate off, ink it, snick it back into place, push it back down, and you're set. If you need to re-ink, just pull it off, re-ink, snick it back and press again. The fact that you pull the top plate completely off is actually very convenient. If it were hinged, you would have little choice over where it's going to open. But here, you can pull the top plate off and carry it over to another table if you want - it's completely disconnected from the bottom, and so can be placed anywhere it fits.I've used this just a couple of times, now, but I have zero complaints. It was completely easy to use, worked like a charm, feels sturdy, and makes me believe that I don't need a more expensive version, EVER, as I can't imagine what a more expensive one might do that this one doesn't. And there are no hinges to break on this model. I am 100% happy with this product. Five stars.
