I've run into a few older laptops where the gap between the graphics card die and cooler is too large for thermal paste, and the manufacturer decided a cheap thermal pad was good enough (it isn't). I use these with good quality thermal paste on both sides and it works considerably better.

pros:- these do appear to be copper shims- they do appear to come in several different thicknesses- their shapes and thicknesses seem relatively consistent- they should work fine for heatsinkingcons:- half of the lids on the case come open with a slight breeze, the other half require hulk strength to open- mine came with bonus fingerprints from the factory, like... tons of very obvious fingerprints (even on the bottom of the stack)- they are completely unlabeled, so if you're looking for a specific thickness, it's hunting seasonUltimately, they're fine for the price I guess, just know what you're getting.

Good number of different shims. One side of the shims might need to be sanded down as the edge is a bit raggedy, depending on your use case.

I don’t know why GPU makes don’t design something like this already attached to the cooler but they can drop the VrAM temps by 45 degrees!! So I’m using these to cool all my GPUs

Tolles Set um unterschiedliche "Höhen" auszugleichen, welches ich noch für 14€ ergattern konnte (derzeit 20€).Die Kühlplättchen sind, zumindest für den westlichen Markt, der Größe nach falsch herum sortiert. Kann man ja aber selber beheben.Außerdem haben die Plättchen auf der Unterseite spürbare Kanten. Hier empfiehlt es sich diese kurz mit Schleifpapier (grob und fein) zu bearbeiten.Ansonsten tiptop!

It's heavy for the size and amazon didn't pack it well, the plastic container has arrived damaged, the copper is totally fine.

This solved my GPU problem (Fan goes to max then display goes black issue). Disassembled my old GTX 980to replace the thermal pads but did not solved the problem. I bought this as a last resort since I know copper is a good heat conductor. the size of the shims are perfect for the bigger chips. I have to cut some in half for the smaller chips. put some thermal paste on top of the chips, put some slight pressure on the copper plate for good contact and then applied thermal pads on top of the shim to squeeze it more and hold it in place when putting back the cover. Assembled my GPU back on, Turned on the computer... solved my problem. No fan cranking up on the Graphics card and blank display. Somebody complained about the case. The case is really sturdy and each compartment are numbered for different size shim. Highly recommended and the price is right.

Perfect for any application 👌 👍 😉 different sizes. I used it on my TV motherboard.Keep them parts cool 😎The only thing, the case they are in, is pretty light. It came broken but no big deal. I'll find something to place them in.
