I use these on the Raspberry pi zero 2W, on the 2209 drivers. I have also learned the NVMe m.2 drives need one for the controller. The typical full length heat sinks spred heat over the nand at idle. The controller generates heat and requires cooling, but nand needs to stay cool.

These are great for helping dissipate heat in IC chips. I ordered the silver ones as well as these black ones for aesthetics. These work well, especially if there is a nice cooling fan to help move the air through the fins. Easy to apply with the self adhesive backing. No paste or glue needed. Really nice quality aluminum.

I'm using this on my RPi zero W running Pi-hole. It' definitely lowers the temps from about 38C to 33C. Works well for its intended purpose. Can't beat the value of a 10 pack. It's a simple piece of milled extruded aluminum.
