This did not strip the HDCP from a PS3 when using it with an RetroTink 4k.

I couldn't record one of my favorite programs to my HDMI capture because of htcp protection, I plugged this stripper in line between my cable box and HDMI recorder and it totally works. Very happy

I was having HDCP issues when plugging my PS3 into an HDFury X4 so I could play 3D games on my LG C1 but this splitter stripped the HDCP and fix my problems!I Definitely recommend if needing to strip HDCP.

I've seen a lot of reviews saying it does not work as an HDCP stripper. I don't know if those are faulty units, or they're trying to strip a higher version of HDCP which dosn't work, or some kind of user error, or some unit don't strip HDCP, but for me it works as an HDCP stripper just fine, for PS3 at least. Also tested on PS4 Pro and that also works (even played a Blu-Ray disc to make sure and all good) It's possible it would not work if you attempt to strip HDCP from a cable box or streaming stick or something like that, but at least for me for game consoles, it works just fine.

I bought this product because it stated that it blocked, stopped, or filtered the hdcp signal, so you could record movies from your internet provider (eliminates the copywriter signal). This device DOES NOT do that, so when used, I cannot record my favorite shows at all.

As far as the splitter functionality is concerned.... it works well. The DHCP functionality however does not. I have a Comcast box and it was unable to strip the DHCP. This device is now useless to me.
