This nut and bolt thread checker tool is also useful if you need to sort through that pile of randomly sized nuts and bolts, as you can solve the mystery of what size each one is.
1. A rigid PVC plastic box storage case keeps each thread checker organized.
2. Three ways to read the size: each thread pitch gauge in this screw size and thread gauge tool box is engraved with the corresponding size, with the corresponding gauge size sticke inside the box and the EVA foam holder with the size of each gauge printed on it.
3. The bolt and nut thread checker/bolt identifier set makes it easy to check a fixing bolt or threaded hole by simply taking out the individual gauges, so you no longer have to rotate the whole thread checker on a wire.

The checkers and case are nice for the price. My only complaint is that the text in the silver inch checkers is not black as described or shown in the pictures. It’s still easy enough to read on the larger checkers, but a little difficult to read on the smaller ones. However, the size is shown on the case, so I guess that’s good enough.

Most things you have to put together yourself will come with an extra part or two. These are nice to use in personal projects later. However, having a giant bucket of random bolts isn't helpful. This let's me quickly sort the spare parts. Instead of a random bucket, I can sort my #10-24 from my 1/4"-20 quickly.

Finally, a nut and bolt thread indentifier that doesn't break the bank. Found other kits to be way too expensive and being in an area of only small towns only 1 hardware store had a thread gage plaque. And if they didn't have the nut or bolt I was looking for, it was write it down and begin the hunt around 2 counties. This save me time by letting me order nuts and bolts on-line with full knowledge they are the correct size and thread gauge. Highly recommend this product, especially since it covers SAE and Metric.

This thread checking kit was just what I needed to figure out the thread size of a couple transmission cooling line fittings. Nice set, easy to use and easy to read the size of the thread you’re checking.

I love that all of the pieces are removable. I had a version that was attached to a wall plate it was ok but the ability to take the individual piece to the the item is 100% way more useful!

The finish on these pieces appears first rate. The case is convenient and the each gauge is both female and male threads. Colors appear well-applied; looks like it will last!
