I just finished this as a gift for my grandma, who has always loved elephants. I'm still a beginner, but did start with a Practice Stitches set from Bradove and finished one other small project like this for myself before trying one as a gift. (I'm sorry in advance for not taking more "before" and "during" photos). The instructions are pretty easy, and Google Translate came in handy, too :)Everything was included, though there is not a lot of extra floss in some of the colors. I purchased the flower ribbon separately. I did like the different colored pattern sections and suggestions for what order to complete them in. Personally, with my struggling eyes, the yellow got a little hard to see. As a beginner, the trees/leaves were a little tricky.The pattern and text does wash away, and there are lots of search results on how to do it. I used a large, clean container (disposable Tupperware) and swished a couple of drops of Woolite with enough lukewarm water to fully submerge the piece. After a few swishes over roughly half an hour, it was "clean", so I gave it a couple of gentle cold water rinses and rolled it in a fluffy towel to ring most of the water. I used a dry section of the same towel, laid the piece face down lightly ironed the backside on the lowest iron setting.I do wish the piece of fabric itself was larger. You can tell in the photos how close the edges were to the hoop frame, and this made it a little tricky to finish the back after framing it in the hoop.
