Bought this a while ago as a gift. It cannot go in the dish washer. In fact, they recommend you don’t even get it wet. When I took the metal cup out to wash that, it was stuck, and when I got it out, the outside of the cup was dented inward. Doesn’t mess with its purpose, but it was a bummer.

The metal cup inside is a bit too small, but that's not a problem for me, since the chalice was bought for decoration purposes.The art is very detailed, I am very happy!

The piece itself if beautiful and detailed beyond my expectations. Even as a display piece, it looks amazing on the shelf and gets many a second look. The inside "cup" portion is made of stainless steel and is removable for cleaning purposes. The only complaint I have whatsoever is the fact the "cup" is so small. It literally holds around 2-4 sips of liquid. As a practical and functional piece; it is quite limited. However; don't be put off by that at all. The detail and craftsmanship more than. Make up for any shortcomings this cup does have.

Nice, but very fragile and not that big. More like a shot goblet and not a "wine glass" goblet.
