I wanted to do some salty water striper/other fishing without breaking the bank on new gear. Good action and responsiveness. I’ve only used it a few times and no big fish yet, but learning to use a two-handed fly rod has been fun. Good results for walking the flats or surf casting. A fun alternative than using a spinning reel. And heavier rod.

Exactly what I had been looking for in a beach rod, length with out the weight, and a smooth action. Definitely not a spey or switch rod so be warned if you are in the market for either. It took a couple of trips to get the right stroke going, but now I can't wait to get out for the next trip. Only words of caution is that the tip appears fragile, but is warranted so fish away!
