These fit perfect on my 8ft cap. I also liked the fact that they come in a package of 6 instead of having to buy 2 packages of 4 and not needing the other 2. They are sturdy and well built as expected.

You will probably have to completly seperate the two peices, put them where they go and "then" screw them back together. Thats what I had to do.
