Your cart is empty.The Edelbrock Performer-Link True Rolling Timing Chain Set is used with either performance or stock cams. This set has a solid-bushing chain for a true bearing surface that rolls with the sprockets, eliminating chain stretch. The crank gears are machined and made from billet SAE-1144 steel and induction heat-treated. The cam sprockets are made from 35, 000 PSI tensile strength cast iron. Most sets have three keyways to ensure accurate timing for early or late-model vehicles, and allows to set cam timing 4 degrees advanced, 4 degrees retarded, or stock. The Performer-Link timing sets are not for use above 6, 500 RPM. The thrust bearing, offset bushings, gaskets, bolts and studs are not included.

For the price point you can’t go wrong with this timing set. I put it in a stock 351w that’s getting a face lift and a refresh, so a cheap build and this is this perfect component to replace the worn out timing set it had in it.

The cam, and crank gear and chain appear to be well made. Still working on motor assy to get it running.But it's good to know I had to removed my cam dowel to determine I had the longer dowel. The hum on the 7814 Cam gear is thicker than stock. I made a spacer from a necked down 5/16" bolt to allow the cam dowel to come out far enough to allow the fuel pump eccentric circle drive piece to fit into it's 5/16" hole. Without the space the cam dowel went 9/16" into the front of the cam shaft. Before I started I called the edlebrock number to verify I needed the 1.375" cam dowel.

I replaced the timing set in my 1994 Mustang GT. The front cover gasket had finally failed, so I replaced this while I was in there. It fits perfectly and works great.

7814 is a Great built. It Installed perfectly in a 1966 Ford mustang 289. Perfect set for the 289 with the 2 piece fuel pump eccentric. I ordered the 7820 which was the wrong Set for my set up. 7820 is for the one piece eccentric. Don't make that mistake, you can damage the 2 piece eccentric. Fired the car up after installed and no noise, timed up perfect.

I installed this double steel roller timing chain when I replaced my water pump and its performing great ,93 ford f150 5.0 liter engine, I recommend buying it.
