I hated how close the suction cup mount placed the CTS monitor. Unless youre using the monitor for a tuner or constantly having to clear CEL codes, then its in a perfect location. Even if you are needing to make adjustments, its still plenty within reach.The CTS3 Insite is a larger monitor, so this does place it pretty close to the front windshield. If heat and sunlight is an issue, this might be something to have a friend 3D print a sunshade for you for the back.I love the quality of this holder. The Aluminum is so sturdy comlared to the plastic of pillar mounts before and the windsheld suction cup. For sure this will hold uo over time much better compared to any other on the market.There is no vibration from driving and keeps the monitor steady. Overall great performance quality.

Overall it's a sturdy piece and easily installed. Purchased it for an MM3 tuner on a Ram 2500. This angles it back and deep into the dash next to the windshield putting the tuner directly in the sun. It makes reaching for it even more awkward. I'm sure it's fine for some but I returned it and opted for the Banks Single Pillar mount and a Universal 2-1/16 Inch Gauge Pillar Adapter Mount. This puts the monitor closer to the side of the dash and out of the windshield, plus it shields it from direct sunlight. The single pillar mount also lets you maintain your grab handle. This product would be great if it didn't go back so far down the pillar. They literally could have just made it shorter and it would have been up where you can easily see and use it. Just my opinion but I'm much happier with the pillar and pod adapter method. Either way it's better than the suction cup crap that comes with it.
