Introduction
Designed and developed by North American Aviation, who also produced the world-renowned P-51 Mustang, the F-86 Sabre was one of the world’s first jet-powered fighter aircraft. It also represented many other firsts in design and technology and was the aircraft responsible for turning the tide of air combat in favor of the United States during the Korean War. Almost 10,000 total Sabres across several variants were built, and now the E-flite UMX F-86 Sabre 30mm EDF makes it possible for more RC pilots to own and fly a replica of the iconic aircraft than ever before. It’s one of the most detailed ultra-micro models ever, and because of the 4S-compatible power system, it’s also the highest-performance EDF in its class yet!
The F-86 Sabre is one of the most iconic and recognizable fighter aircraft ever built. As one of the first-ever jet-powered fighter aircraft with swept wings, it achieved an unmatched victory ratio of 10 to 1 against the MiG-15 during the Korean War. Lieutenant Jim Thompson was credited with shooting down two MiGs during that time, one of which had a dragon painted on the side. Soon after, he had a similar dragon painted on the side of his iconic F-86, known as “The Huff.” The E-flite UMX F-86 Sabre 30mm EDF is an ultra-micro-sized model of the famous aircraft that arrives factory-assembled and ready to fly right out of the box, including a premium fully painted with waterslide decal finish. It’s equipped with an updated and optimized 4S-compatible power system to meet modern-day EDF performance expectations–making it the highest-performance ultra-micro class jet model yet! It’s also equipped with expertly tuned AS3X and optional-use SAFE Select technologies, plus it provides real-time battery voltage and other telemetry information to compatible transmitters. And because of its ultra-micro size, pilots can fly the UMX F-86 in more places and smaller spaces than most other EDF models, including at many large parks and sports fields! The fixed landing gear with a steerable nosewheel makes it easy to taxi, take off from, and land on smooth surfaces. Skill Level 2 – Some Experience Required
Suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the skills to assemble, set up and/or fly similar class models. This is not a suitable first-ever RC aircraft for new pilots or first-ever EDF jet model for intermediate to experienced RC pilots.

Skill Level 2 – Some Experience Required
This F-86 Sabre features exclusive Spektrum AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select offers pitch and bank angle limits, along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch to make this the easiest to fly F-86 yet!
Higher Performance
The factory-installed 30mm EDF power system features a 4S-compatible outrunner motor. This power system setup delivers the highest performance of any single-motor powered UMX/ultra-micro class jet to date!

Lightweight Design
Construction with composite-reinforced EPS material delivers a lightweight yet durable airframe that’s also easily repairable with odorless/foam-safe CA, Foam 2 Foam, epoxy, and other foam-friendly adhesives. Or, in the unfortunate event you damage any airframe parts or components and can't repair them, a full line of replacement/spare parts is readily available.

Flies good and it's a miracle of engineering that this little jet flies as good and as stabally as it does. Only real downside is its very difficult to track as the silver color makes it difficult to tell orientation.

This thing is beautiful, durable and fast but be careful of the rudder in a turn. It drops a wing and it happens quickly. I don’t care how much altitude you have, if your out of safe mode and you drop a wing this thing is toast

I flew it without the wheels because our field is grass. Tossed out of my hand with the recommended 450 mah 4S battery and it was a great beginning. After a lap around the field I took off the safe to do a final trimming and it was minimal the trimming I had to do. I was very fast at 75% throttle but after two minutes I cut the speed by 50%. After 3 1/2 minutes it was time to do a belly land and it was predictable.My second flight was with a 850 mah 3S battery but it was a little heavy and not as agile. It flew 6 minutes but it flies better with the 450 mah 4S. I'm ordering a second 450 mah battery. Very nice and easy plane to fly. Well done E-Flite.
