My wife’s car has always had the cel for evap and purge valve. It ran fine other transmission slipping at 20 mph. After spending 4K on a transmission module and then a whole nother transmission the slipping persisted. So I decided to change the egr valve and purge valve. She now has no cel and slipping is gone. I suggest fixing what codes are showing before costly repairs because it may fix something unexpected.
